Decorate with Buttons – What a surprise !

How do you decorate your walls?

On a recent trip to town I discovered a yummy shop with some wonderful ideas for decor.

I just wanted to take these gorgeous buttons home with me.

Unfortunately they were glued down so all I could do was drool over them.

The assistants thought I was a bit bonkers.

This was just a small section of a decorated room divide in a London shop that that I adored.

I love any opportunity to use a Lucet.

As part of a recent rust dyeing session, I dyed a lovely bundle of vintage cotton string from the Arnold’s Attic stash.

This lovely rusty string came in very handy for some co-ordinated cord I needed for a new rust project I was working on.

I dusted off my Lucet and went to work making a batch of braid.

Sunny days create a perfect opportunity for some rust dyeing.

A box has been slowly filling up with rusty bits n bobs, some of which came from beach combing at Aldeburgh.

Bags full of fabric scraps, vintage bits and pieces of plain cotton were waiting, ready to dye.
