A little time and patience….What a transformation….. before and after shots of my Mum’s sewing box….. I am so happy ! …..attic finds!

I rediscovered this sewing box in my stash today and started by cleaning a small section, before I knew it the whole thing had been scrubbed – once I started I couldn’t stop! It transformed before my eyes. It was so dirty, but water and a soft toothbrush …..and patience did the trick.

My Mum’s Old Sewing Box.

This is my Mum’s old sewing box. I just had to share my joy.
On a rainy day, you’ll find me in the sewing room playing and rearranging my stash. So given our recent cold weather, I was rummaging though the shelving a rediscovered this sewing box, looking a little unloved.
A little clean with a mild soap solution and a soft toothbrush, has brought it back to life.

I’m thrilled with the results

When I received it, it’d been on the wardrobe for years and was filthy. I am stunned at the colour of it… It’s amazing what water and an old toothbrush can do… I’m grinning from ear to ear! Any idea of its age? share your thoughts below.
