The Festival of Quilts 2014 – Part Four – Miniature Quilts

Exquisite, heavenly, miniature quilts at the Festival of Quilts…. the makers have the patience of a saint and have much better eye sight then me. Their work are miniature masterpieces…. breathtaking.
These are my favourite ones from this years’ show…. enjoy.

The Festival of Quilts 2014 – Part Three – Art Quilts

Art quilts – or non-traditional pieces – are more my thing these days. A traditional quilt still has it’s place in my home, but I am fascinated more by the thought process and technical processes of creating an art quilt.
Here are my favourite Art Quilts from my day at The Festival of Quilts…. enjoy.

The Festival of Quilts 2014 – Part Two – Traditional Quilts

There are lots of categories of quilts at the Festival of Quilts but the Traditional Quilts is one of my favourites.

Wandering around the Show was wonderful – the textile creations were a feast for the eye. The quilts entered for competition were everything from ‘My first Quilt’ to Pictorial and Art quilts.

Traditional Quilts

These are some of my favourite Traditional Quilts from the day.
