The Festival of Quilts 2014 – Part Five – Winners in each Category

At The Festival of Quilts, I made a decision to check out all the competition quilts first and leave viewing the prize winners until the very end of the day (the winners pieces were overwhelmed with crowds during the afternoon). Exquisite, heavenly, miniature quilts at the Festival of Quilts…. the makers have the patience of a saint and have much better eye sight then me. Their work are miniature masterpieces…. breathtaking.

The Festival of Quilts 2014 – Part Three – Art Quilts

Art quilts – or non-traditional pieces – are more my thing these days. A traditional quilt still has it’s place in my home, but I am fascinated more by the thought process and technical processes of creating an art quilt.
