“I grew up in India surrounded by beautiful textiles. My mother was a prolific needlewoman, along with my grandmother who quilted. Together they instilled a love of textiles in me. As I grappled with the idea of home after I had moved away from India to the UK, embroidery became a way to access the memories and comfort of home and a connection to the women in my family.” Ekta.
